SpeedEasy
II -- has just recommended is the upgraded
edition of SpeedEasy In addition to some functions of SpeedEasy,
including the wire jumper-free function, the users can also
realize in the BIOS setup the CPU core voltage adjustability,
AGP display voltage adjustability and DDR memory module voltage
adjustability. This doubtless renders a quicker and easier
mode for overclocking and will further help the users to tap
the maximum potentiality of the system. SPEEDEASY II again
proves QDI's capability in handling BIOS and hardware.

SPEEDEASY II provides a user-friendly interface.
In a case where you want to further challenge the overclocking
limit, you can adjust the CPU core voltage. BIOS provides
more than ten voltage steps with the lowest reaching 0.025
V. The users can adjust the voltage high or low as needed.
Of course, you had better not change the CPU core voltage
freely. Instead you should be careful and stop where it should
stop. The CPU core voltage adjustment alone sometimes cannot
guarantee the overclocking to be successful. The reliability
of AGP and memory will also affect the result of overclocking
to a large degree. Therefore, SPEEDEASY II has been designed
with a new feature. That is, you can increase the working
voltage of the AGP graphics display card or system memory
DDR module by 10% and improve the overall potential of the
system as a result. It is a matter of course that if the user
does not adjust the voltage thereof, BIOS will automatically
choose the normal value. You do not need to open the casing
when overclocking. As wire jumper setting complex, you can
easily strike a few keys to make choice by SPEEDEASY II. It
is indeed easy.
In addition, QDI also provides a good Doctor
to the users HARDWARE DOCTOR (5 Diagnostic LEDs). The mainboard-carried
five LEDs monitor the status of the devices, including CPU,
chipset, memory, PCI devices, Clock Generator and AGP card,
which make it easy for you to maintain your system. When you
have trouble in overclocking, the Doctor will tell you
where the problems exactly are by illuminating different Diagnostic
LEDs, which saves the trouble of checking item by item. It
is very clear and quick and easy. The combination of other
EASY technologies of QDI (e.g. STEPEASY II, etc.) and the
triple protection technology for CPU guarantee the CPU safety.
EASY technologies will give you one helping hand in overcoming
the trouble of overclocking and make the PC operation full
of fun.
SpeedEasy II Quick Setup
Procedures:
1. Correctly insert the CPU;
2. Plug in other configurations and restore the system;
3. Swith on power to the system and press the <Del>
key to enter BIOS Setup;
4. Enter "CPU SpeedEasy II Setup" menu to setup
the CPU speed;
5. Adjust AGP, DDR, CPU voltage;
6. Save and exit BIOS Setup, your system will now boot sucessfully.
CPU SpeedEasy II Setup Menu
Select <CPU SpeedEasyII Setup> item from
the main menu and enter the sub-menu;

BIOS provides you with a set of basic values
for your processor selection instead of the jumper settings.
The processor speed can be manually selected on the "CPU
SpeedEasyII Setup" menu screen.

Questions & Answers
1. If the CPU setting is wrongly set, will it cause any
damage to the CPU ?
No, because the BIOS can auto detect the CPU type and assign
the correct CPU voltage to the CPU including single voltage
or dual voltage CPU. You only need to set the CPU speed in
the BIOS. For that case, even you select a higher speed for
the CPU, it won't cause any damage to the CPU.
2. How to recover the system if a higher CPU speed is set
and the system .cannot boot up again ?
You can press the hot key <Del> while power on the
system. This let the system to run at safe and low speed to
boot up. Then you can enter the BIOS setup menu and re-select
the CPU speed.
