Legend QDI's KD7 Mainboard Passes new AMD Tests
--First Time A Real Testimony to its Quality

Legend QDI, a cutting edge developer, manufacturer and supplier of high-performance, high-end mainboards since 1988, has just had its KD7 motherboard certified by AMD after completing stringent tests. Proving its compatibility with Palamino (Athlon 4) and Morgan (Duron) - AMD's new processors to sell against Pentium 4 - the KD7 becomes one of the first boards in the world to be given such accreditation.

The Legend QDI KD7 mainboards, randomly selected from the production line without any prior debug, passed AMD's strict testing for stability, capacity tolerance, frequency and register and no Engineering Change Notices were raised. This means that the product purchased by the end user will be identical to those that passed the Athlon testing - a guarantee that no other manufacturer can make. The KD7 not only passed the new AMD tests first time without fault, a challenge in its self, it has also been approved to support its fastest CPU available to date.

"We consider this to be yet another example of our passion, drive, and ability, to be the market leader," explained Nathan Blank, QDI" UK Sales Manager"We strongly believe in a theory which sees us over-engineering in all the right places to ensure that our product isn't just right, but that it surpasses all expectations."

Athlon processors have a 266MHz bus bandwidth that's consistent with the bus bandwidth of DDR memory. By using VIA's KT266 (8366+8233) chipset, the Legend QDI KD7 motherboard is therefore ideally designed to support Athlon processors and gets the best results from DDR memory. Many competitive products suffer from on-board power fluctuations and harmonic interference, but by using a four-layer-filter modular system, Legend QDI has ensured an optimised, interference-free and stable current supply for the CPU plus a precise bus voltage of 1.5v or 3.3v and large current for the AGP graphics card, for better performance.
