Today, Intel release its i875P (Canterwood) chipset. As one of Intel’s most important global partners, QDI released a mainboard incorporating the i875P chipset, named P4I875P at the same time. As the i875P chipset introduces support to ECC (Error Correction Coding) memory, CSA(communications streaming architecture), and PAT(Performance Acceleration Technology), this new board by QDI is designed for high-end desktop users and server users.

With the QME(Quick Magic Extension)interfacing technology particularly owned by QDI, the QDI P4I875P mainboard can be implemented as ATX or MATX form factor, directly improving the board’s extendability with interfaces like PCI and SATA. It provides FSB of 800MHz, supports Hyper-Threading technology and the incoming Prescott CPU. Duel Channel DDR and ECC memory are both supported. And the PAT(Performance Acceleration Technology)will great improve performance of memory, as well as performances of South & North Bridge. The board is designed with 1x AGP8X slot, 2x 150M S-ATA HD interfaces, 1x1G Ethernet interface, 6 xUSB 2.0 interfaces, and on-board 6-channel 20bit AC’ 97 audio.. What is most important is that this board incorporates Intel CSA(communications streaming architecture), which boosts data throughput of PCI bus from 133M to 266M. CSA stores/retrieves data directly to/from memory, which gives priority to 1G Ethernet connection (Intel 82547EI). All these factors combined with an independent 266M-network I/O port contribute to a reduced CPU workload and a better data synchronization management.
