provide unparalleled P4 - Socket 478 support
Legend QDI, the largest
Mainboard manufacturer in China, has along with its release of Platinix2
Mainboard profoundly released another Mainboard--Platinix1 Series.
In the face of varied
demands by categorized users of OEM/SI PC integrators and slim PC
cases, Platinix1 Series has adopted a small-sized mATX board and
provided simply another Pentium 4
-supportive solution for SDRAM.
Legend QDI P1 Mainboard
supports stitch packed 478 pins Intel Pentium
4 processors. It has 400MHz FSB, 2 SDRAM DIMM slots, and
supports maximum 2 GB memory capacity. It also provides 3 PCI slots,
1 CNR slot and 1 AGP slot. The Series has a complete product line.
P1-C has onboard C-Media 8738/PCI-6CH super sound effect that produces
6-channel surround stereo and supports 5.1ch DVD AC-3 Home theater.
P1-A has onboard AC'97 codec, and can be upgraded for 6-channel
audio output by employing CNR. P1-L has onboard Realtek 8100 chipset,
provides network support for 10/100Mbps Ethernet communications.
Platinix mainboard is
embodied with Legend QDI's most updated unique technologies--StepEasy
and BootEasy. StepEasy can accomplish infinitely variable frequency
in Windows operation system while BootEasy shall boost PC booting
speed to a large extent, creating a high way for PC start. In addition,
the mainboard is integrated with another 5 Easy technologies such
as ManageEasy, RecoveryEasy and so on.

On the other hand, the
birth of Intel Pentium 4 processor
is deemed to replace Pentium III and become the mainstream solution
for high-end platforms in a gradual process though. Intel has, targeting
at promoting Pentium 4 to be the dominant
selection on the mainstream market, released Chipset 845 in order
to provide a wide-spread solution for SDRAM that goes with Pentium
4. It aims at evading the limitation by costly RAMBUS and
thereby pushing forward its promotion of Pentium
4 and creating more choices for users.
Legend QDI Platinix2 Mainboard
supports stitch packed 478 pins Intel Pentium
4 processor. It has 400MHz FSB, 3 SDRAM DIMM slots, and supports
maximum 3 GB memory capacity. The ATX large-sized board also provides
6 PCI slots, 1 CNR slot and 1 AGP slot. P2-A has onboard AC97
sound effect. P2-L provides facilities for 10/100Mbps Ethernet communications.
With its Intel 82559 core built in the south bridge, 82562ET interface
is all that is needed for accessing the high-quality Intel network.
In addition to the five
Easy technologies such as ManageEasy, RecoveryEasy and so on, Platinix2
