This technology was successfully released for the first time at the Year 2000 Comdex Exhibition. It aims to make an all-round improvement on the slow boot process. It has shortened the system start-up time from 1 minute to 5-6 seconds, reducing users setup time greatly. It checks the system and initializes the peripheral equipment during the first start-up. Then all the information related to peripheral equipment and outcome of initialization will be saved in the Flash, thus avoiding repeated work.
