Q. How many VIA Chipset series mainboard
do we have until now?
A.We have Advance2 and Advance 3 two mainboards
for Socket 7 CPU. We also have Advance 4, Advance 5 and
Advance5/133 three mainboards for Slot I CPU. Advance
9 & Advance 10 for Socket 370 CPU.
Q. If the Advance 2 and Advance 4 mainboards can't
recoginise my USB device, What can I do?
A.Because the pin defination of the USB connector
on your Advance2 or Advance 4 mainboard may different
from the pin defination of your USB device. So, you
have to make your own connector for them.
Q. If Advance 10 will not install the driver for
on-board sound device automatically under Win2000, what
can I do?
A.Please manually install the driver on the
motherboard CD.
Q.Why the jumper JAC1 is missing on the Advance
10 motherboard but it is figured in my manual?
A. On the PCB1.3 or later, a short circuit
is set to JAC1 but JMC1 & JMC2 remains, so the jumper
JAC1 is missing, if you want to select the AC97 or MC97
support, please refer to the table listed below on how
to set them for your need:
